Dr. Mike Leahy teaching Complex Protocols in Moss

We are hosting the first Complex course in Europe next week. Dr. Mike Leahy will be teaching the whole crew + other Full Body Certified providers in Europe. The course is FULLY BOOKED and participants are joining in from all over Europe. A BIG Welcome to TEAM USA!

“It is amazing to see and feel how quickly soft tissue is responding to ART® in general. Complex Protocols speeds up the “breaking down” process and results are guicker when combined correctly with basic ART® protocols. Get ready for some intensive training days together with colleagues and friends.”

Complex Protocols by Active Release Techniques®

P. Michael Leahy, DC, CCSP.

What can you expect at an ART Complex course?

Active Release Techniques treatments address problems in individual tissues as well as in between tissues. One tissue or structure can affect another structure biomechanically and it can also affect the other structure directly. The Complex Protocols address this by identifying problems with motion, pressure or tension between adjacent tissues.

Problems obviously occur inside a structure but clearly half the potential problems are between adjacent structures. We identify and treat these by reinforcing the motion between tissues. This is accomplished by locking one structure in place and using a double contact to move the second structure while holding the first in place.

A second method is to use active motion to move both structures in opposite directions while using a reinforcing tension with a double contact.

The Complex Protocol system will allow you to literally double your effectiveness in treating neuromusculoskeletal problems.

Who can take an ART Complex course?

In order to participate in an Active Release Technique Soft-Tissue Management training course, you must be a licensed health care professional with soft-tissue malpractice insurance. In other words, you must be licensed/certified to perform soft tissue treatment on patients/clients.

Providers taking the Complex Protocols course must be full body certified.

Some areas of certifications include chiropractors, medical and osteopathic doctors, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, physiotherapists, massage therapists, certified athletic trainers, and students studying towards any of these certifications with proof of enrollment. Please call 888.396.2727 if you have a question in regards to certifications not listed.

Who needs these courses?

Courses are for practitioners who treat or manage soft-tissue injuries and conditions. Each participant should have an advanced understanding of anatomy.

There is immediate clinical application for chiropractors, physicians, osteopaths, massage therapists, physical and occupational therapists, and certified athletic trainers.

All courses in Norway are hosted in beautiful Moss by the Oslofjord, 40 min. from Oslo. You will find easy access to the local airport with daily direct flights to many European countries. 70 – 80% of our course participants in Norway are flying in from abroad.

Some words from a recent course participant:

I have just returned from Moss, Norway where I attended my first ART course (spine). Being my first I was a little nervous as i was unsure of what to expect but those nerves were short lived as the instructors there were all super friendly and I soon felt at ease. The knowledge the team has there is exceptional and I guarantee you will leave will so much information and many techniques that will improve you as a trainer and/or therapist. If you are wondering what it’s like to go to Norway then I can certainly say I’d go back! Not only will you love the course but you can do so in a beautiful country where the locals are ridiculously friendly and Helpful. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the ART centre and it’s easily accessible from Oslo airport. We were also lucky to have blue skies and hot days! What more could you ask for? All in all a fantastic experience. Looking forward to practicing what I have learnt and booking my next module :)
